Music was made for entertainment. Of course it's been around for years in all types of forms. Music has travels all around the worlds in all types of ways. What mant people do not know is that music is much more universal than they can ever imagine. It can connect back many years and through many people. Most of todays monder day artist are inspired by people back in the day. Like Miguel, he's known to be the modern day Prince. Another thing about music people do not know is that in slavery time the 'negro spiritual connects back to gospel music, what some people sing in their churches today.
Music is written and played all based off certain mathematical prime, these mathematical primes are the things that form the basis for musical structure. A Greek philosopher Pythagoras (who's also known for the best known theorem of the right angled triangle) is considered to be the general creator for the basic math rules which where made in the means to give music a more standardized composition.
The theory of mathematics leans more towards defining, than taking away the creative process. For one to understand music it is not a definite thing that they should be able to or "have" to occupy their time in attempting of creating anything in the melodic nature. But in order to advance oneself in the ability of music there general understanding of the music theory would be of some help, because playing and learning are not the same thing. The key to understanding the music theory is being about to learn the language of music along with the concepts of it. To understand because with that, you can "sit-in" with any musician of your choice and vocalize the communication of music in a prerogative manner. Leaning about the basic music theory is only suggested to help give a better understanding and to help musicians become more versatile. Some people say that you have to be an artist or musician to make music. I say anyone can make music, if you can bare to listen to the melondy of your creation. Then guess what, you made music too!
